Team BPS Runs Reebok Boston 10k for Women
Boston Public Schools (BPS) employees will be participating in the Reebok Boston 10k for Women on October 8. Team BPS will be fundraising for the Welcome Center (serving many of our BPS students) at Bridge Over Troubled Waters and SoleTrain (coaching many BPS students on running technique). With your generous support we will donate funds to these two organizations whose programs directly benefit BPS students.
Learn more about our causes:
Bridge Over Troubled Waters (BOTW) is Boston’s premier organization dedicated to transforming the lives of runaway, homeless, and high-risk youth. Their Welcome Center, provides safe, age-appropriate overnight accommodations for youth who turn to BOTW in need of shelter, many of whom are BPS students. Specific needs for the Welcome Center include MBTA student passes, winter clothing, school supplies, and electronic accessories.
SoleTrain is a community-building and mentoring program that uses running as a vehicle for setting and achieving seemingly impossible goals. As a supportive community of caring adults and peers, Sole Train champions young people, including many BPS students, as they realize their capacity for greatness.
We would like to thank all of the BPS employees volunteering their time to participate in and fundraise for this race. We’d also like to thank you for your charitable donations – all funds raised will benefit BOTW and Sole Train, programs that serve service Boston Public Schools students.Donate
